World Cup 2026: Best of the Bests

1. The most brilliant promotion*: Rexona is a deodorant brand, and they placed their logo under the armpit of the referee who holds up the substitutions board.

2. Verizon had killed its V symbol a while ago, and Lenovo never had a proper 'logo'; either way, white sans-serif bold type on red field is not exactly the most compelling logo presentation.

3. Zlatan: your hat - nah, sorry. (and the opinionated persona got a bit too much after a month+ of it)

4. I get FIFA's no-logos rule, but com'on - you can't even bring your laptop in the dugout? Maybe Apple should have had a real-apple sticker - missed opportunity, Levi's and Heinz docet.

5. I love the event's graphic system overall, except the horizontal version of the '26': it just doesn't work, was there another solution to it?

6. The teams entering the field and spreading out form the curves of a Cup, kinda - pretty cool.

7. Lots have been made of the pink boots, but with the Netherlands team they looked like part of the uniform.

8. Thank you Unknown Player for placing the ball on the line, as opposed to 99% of other players who just HAVE to place it juuuuust outside of it.

9a. I read about how they printed those gynormous flags, interesting!

9b. There should be a Flag Identification Standards Manual to avoid design & color conflicts; I mean, same layout and colors but change orientation (and stick a symbol on one)? Might as well merge the countries.

10. You know when we have to place the TM next to a logo and we don't want to ruin the visuals? Well, look where/how they put it here - I dare you.

11. Could not get enough of hearing the announcer saying "and now go vote for the Michelob Ultra Superior Player of the Match". Michelob and Ad Agency: you got the perfect Product for that Prize and ... nah, you just didn't see it.

12. Again, type-only Corporate ID is not very compelling.
